Such a beautiful day spent with these precious little ones in our Father’s Heart program.
Most of them come from difficult and painful backgrounds, with no father figure in their lives. We gathered at one of our schools, which lovingly transforms into a refuge center when the schooling time is over. I remember when we first began this program—the idea that God is a Father was terrifying for many of them. Their past experiences with earthly fathers who passed away while they were young and some had been abandoned or harmed them left deep scars, making it hard to trust or open their hearts.
But love—persistent, patient, and powerful—has a way of rewriting stories. Through relentless acts of care and kindness, these children have come to know a different kind of Father. One who never leaves. One who fiercely loves them. One whose heart beats for them.
Today, we celebrated Father’s love—with joy, a shared meal, and the laughter of children who are beginning to believe they are truly, deeply loved.
